Beyond Internet rumors suggesting that the artist known as S. Charles is a side-project of Scottish producer Sam Gellaitry, there's essentially no available information about the musician who has only six tracks published on SoundCloud. Whether or not S. Charles is the pseudonym of an established artist, ‘Overclock’ is evidence that they're a talented composer, worthy of the attention of any music fan who looks past the Top 40 and other mainstream outlets for new, original music. The beauty of Overclock is in its simplicity; the track opens slowly with just a few low-fi keyboard strokes and a basic drum loop, but quickly builds into a mesmerizing orchestra of various tones and instrumentation, which leads the listener into a meditative state of existential pondering... but in a totally rad and relaxed way.
