Tierra Whack - Unemployed (3SR)

Tierra Whack’s newest single, “Unemployed” hunkers down in trap, further exposing her dynamism. In this song she is mostly mean—real mean, clip your pet bird’s wings while you’re at work mean—and it’s tempting to place that in satire, but maybe it’s not, all the way. The music video features mainly Whack and some animate and inanimate potatoes, which undercuts my only real criticism about how many times the work refrain takes hold of ‘Unemployed’ because she really gets that potato eating sound out of those refrains. ⛰️
