Drawn out to the listeners’ delight with extended mixes, Reality 2 is smartly paced for both club and couch. Digitalism’s latest project is easy on the ears, and unchallenging. It’s refined enough to seem obvious, but not oversimplified. What this project uses, it uses wisely. Of note, Reality 2 offers a fun throwback to the Bloodhound Gang’s ‘The Bad Touch’ in the ‘Visuals (Extended Mix)’. Despite their long track times, each title maintains ear-engagement, making exemplary underground grinds palatable for the many aspects of life which beg musical accompaniment. ⛰️
