The Strokes have come out with a new album. I forget what it’s called. Long-time fans that were still counting on them to make music will be thrilled. It’s exactly the Strokes but in the year 2020 instead of 2003. That’s a good track record to have and there is nothing distasteful about it. People that were looking to them to break their own mold will receive the album with a heavy heart unless they are willing to do the deep digging to discern nuance in a band whose signature sound has been the primary thrust for their success for roughly two decades. ⛰️
