Julian Determan of Rotterdam, aka Mata Disk of Rotterdam, has released his Nous’klaer Audio debut. Surrounder is a tight collection of four intertwined tracks, each sharing a common thread but woven in quite different patterns. Folk music sentiments dance lightly between club-ready beats and effervescent synth plucks. The result is introspective but generally hopeful; a thought of spring during a cold winter’s night. 🍍
